All Five Stars Again on Trip Advisor Eden Vale Inn Bed and Breakfast Placerville

"Serene and beautiful...We loved it!"  Trip Advisor Oct. 6, 2010 "My husband, father and step mother spent the weekend at Eden Vale Inn Bed and Breakfast ... My step mother has mobility issues so they stayed on the main floor in a room that accommodates those with disabilities (walk in shower)...My husband and I were downstairs in a perfectly appointed suite-like room with a semi-private patio. The grounds are a marvel of garden foliage and paths, private areas, and shared lawns. Then there is the pond - the clearest, most refreshing pond. You can actually see the bottom - it's not murky at all. But the breakfasts were the crowning glory of our stay: the food is fresh (vegetable garden on site), delicious, and abundant." Copied by Innkeeper  "The Inn is pet-friendly and we enjoyed the Inn dog, Pepper, and the Inn cat, Mr. Bushwhack. The setting is serene, peaceful, and perfect for relaxing. Other amenities include ... delicious dining close by" Cafe Mahjaic and an Apple Festival "Apple Hill. The nearby town of Placerville is charming but not precious, and has a bookstore, a wine and beer shop, and interesting dining options, and nearby wineries. We are definitely coming back. We loved it!"   Emma, from Los Angeles

Trip Advisor another All Five Star Review Eden Vale Inn Bed and Breakfast Placerville, CA

“A real gem ... Beautifully appointed.” ...  "Eden Vale Inn was a real find! We have been there twice and will be back. The Inn sits on 10 acres of lovely and whimsically landscaped property complete with a pond to row on or swim in...The innkeepers have spent 25 years taking a barn and turning it into a 5 room retreat...The bathrooms are state of the art, most with soaking tubs and the artwork throughout speaks of careful and tasteful collecting over the years..." Copied by Innkeeper " All the details have been attended to inside and out...The breakfasts are delicious, ample, gourmet buffets prepared every morning. Mark and Gail are helpful and accomodating, but never obtrusive. Eden is a well chosen name for it feels like the Garden of Eden."  Posted on Trip Advisor October 10, 2010.

"Someone's gotta tell Huell Houser about this place" Kathy Stowe

"The Eden Vale Inn, between Coloma and Placerville, CA, captured our hearts the moment we drove up the driveway. Upon entering the home you are immediately filled with a warmth and belonging. The history of the 20 year labor of love was so rich and the home's lovely world collections are so artfully displayed... Restoring this BARN, was brilliantly executed in fine (custom, Craftsman, country, southwest, Tibetan, European, modern, fen shui) style. From the beautiful modern bath to the very comfortable bed, the large soaking tub outside our perfectly appointed room was the icing on the cake."  Copied by Innkeeper Oct 2, 2010.

"The gardens are amazing. Gayle's plant knowledge and sense of decor, fills every pathway with a visual delight, pairing old and new finds, as decorations between all the fantastic foliage and fountains. The large horse watering trough" an original that came with the barn "at the lower back side of the house, has a flowing spigot, trickling into its reflective pollywog pool. The surrounding pastures of horses and ponies add to the lovely views. The use of bowling balls placed along the west fencetop is visually pleasing as it leads you up to the pond..."

"Oh and I have to mention the food! The chef and innkeeper, Kirsten, is such a culinary wizard. The amazing stratas, quiches, stollens, scones, fresh fruits and famous home made granolas are just a tiny taste of what she can do. The coffee and tea bar is excellent and that kitchen would make any famous chef proud. Way too cool of a custom cabinet job in there Mark."

You'll amazed at this Zen country chic place. You'll return, just like we will - soon...Now we know where Eden is.  Someone's gotta tell Huell Houser about this place... talk about California's Gold!  Kathy and Mike  San Pedro, CA"

A lovely day at Eden Vale Inn B&B, Placerville

As the sun rose up this morning, the cast of the light was hinting that we are heading into Fall here at Eden Vale Inn B&B, Placerville, in the Sierra Foothills.  The Innkeepers, Kirsten & Barbara, at Eden Vale Inn use many fresh vegetable from the garden to make a Fritatta for breakfast, and garnished it with beautiful yellow squash blossoms.  Our guests enjoyed sitting on the sun porch, seeing hummingbirds flit by the windows as they ate.  There's nothing better than waking from a restful nights sleep in one of Eden Vale Inn's delightful guest rooms, and be greeted with a sumptuous breakfast feast.  Whether you plan to go wine tasting at any of the El Dorado County Wineries or just sit by the Big Dipper pond, it all awaits you here at Eden Vale Inn.  Call us today for special mid-week discounts.

Breakfast at Eden Vale Inn B&B, PLacerville, CA

This time Barbara really "knocked it out of the park" with her Blueberry Cream Cheese French Toast!  She is the Innsitter here at Eden Vale Inn B&B in Placerville, and It was amazing to watch her work.  She served it with Blueberry Maple Syrup and fresh cut fruit from local gardens in the Sierra Foothills, which besides the melons, had three kinds of berries, kiwi and bananas.  Our guests were full and happy as they drove away, saying, "we will be back again!".

Review Eden Vale Inn B&B Placerville, CA

FIVE STARS   "Beautiful, traquil, high quality Bed and Breakfast, nice hosts" July 17th, 2010 TripAdvisor.com  "Just spent one night at Eden Vale. The hosts have really put a lot of work into making this a great getaway and it shows... Lovely gardens and paths, swings and sitting areas outside. Adorable little lake for a swim and a little boat to row out in too, rafts for floating. New, quiet, tastefully decorated in slightly eastern style rooms, no old flouncy flowery B+B here."  Copied by Innkeeper
"Placerville is about 15/20 minutes and has cute small town. We ate a great dinner at Zachary Jacques and a great lunch at Heyday cafe-seemed like lots of choices in area. Only 5 minutes from rafting meet up spot. Very convenient to what we had planned. 2 nights for the area would be ideal, maybe 3, unfortunately we only had one-maybe another time! We'd definitely return...Great shower, nice bedding, all amenities well done. Inn is cool converted, totally overhauled barn that innkeepers will tell you about if you want to know. Breakfast was on time, well done with fruit, yogurt, homemade granola as well as a hot egg dish, scones, coffee, juice. Everything was great-wish we could have stayed longer."
