FIVE STARS   "Beautiful, traquil, high quality Bed and Breakfast, nice hosts" July 17th, 2010 TripAdvisor.com  "Just spent one night at Eden Vale. The hosts have really put a lot of work into making this a great getaway and it shows... Lovely gardens and paths, swings and sitting areas outside. Adorable little lake for a swim and a little boat to row out in too, rafts for floating. "Placerville is about 15/20 minutes and has cute small town. We ate a great dinner at Zachary Jacques and a great lunch at Heyday cafe-seemed like lots of choices in area. Only 5 minutes from rafting meet up spot. Very convenient to what we had planned. 2 nights for the area would be ideal, maybe 3, unfortunately we only had one-maybe another time! We'd definitely return...Great shower, nice bedding, all amenities well done. Inn is cool converted, totally overhauled barn that innkeepers will tell you about if you want to know. Breakfast was on time, well done with fruit, yogurt, homemade granola as well as a hot egg dish, scones, coffee, juice. Everything was great-wish we could have stayed longer."

I've traveled extensively and can honestly say that I have never stayed at a place so astoundingly beautiful, and with such good and friendly service.  You'll love the drive here too, as it takes you through El Dorado County wine country... beautiful. "...The food is terrific, thanks to the magic that the marvelous Kirsten works in the kitchen. What an unbelievable breakfast, and she was happy to accelerate her schedule so I could get out early to do a winery interview.  Oh by the way, I am a wine writer, working on a book MOUNTAIN WINERIES OF THE SIERRA AND ITS FOOTHILLS and Eden Vale is going to be at the top of the list of Bed and Breakfast places to stay in this part of California wine country. “The Eden Vale Inn is a true gem among Bed and Breakfasts.  The entire Inn from the beautiful gardens and pond, the amazing common rooms, the luxurious bedrooms with European showers and outdoor Japanese soaking tubs for two.”

“ The owner and Inn Keeper Mark was extremely helpful on many levels. I had planned a trip to Placerville for white water rafting on the American River. The original trip I had planned was canceled.   Mark recommended a great company, W.E.T River Rafting.”  This outfitter “ turned out to be a better price and we had both trips I had originally wanted to go on.”  Copied by Innkeeper…Mark “had wonderful hiking recommendations and maps of the areas.” (Note from Mark: They went to the Waterfalls on Johnstown Creek and up Mount Murphy near Coloma and the Marshall Gold Discovery Park)  “On the second night of our stay he had an impromptu pizza dinner with pizza’s fresh from the on the premises outdoor pizza oven and a wonderful local wine maker” (Toogood Winery) “who provided more then ample tastings of their delicious wine “foreplay” http://www.toogoodwinery.com/”
