Reviews Eden Vale Inn B&B Placerville San Francisco Chronicle, March 28, 2010

Review San Francisco Chronicle, March 28, 2010

"...it's a good chance you weren't raised in a barn. A few places, however, were raised originally as barns. Now, instead of crumbled, picturesque relics begging to be part of a photographic essay, you have lodgings, restaurants, wineries and museums. Here's a few modern spots with rural roots that even Bessie would approve of.”
Five Inns reviewed:  "1. Eden Vale Inn, Placerville, CA   Sleep tight in contemporary rooms fitted into a repurposed 1918 hay barn. All have outdoor seating, and two have a two-person Japanese soaking tub on a private deck…. “

“When not busy relaxing by a slate fireplace in the living room, where the barn's timbered ceilings soar to 27 feet, guests can wander extensive gardens. 1780 Springvale Road, Placerville; (530) 621-0901; http//www.EdenValeInn.com. “

Review Eden Vale Inn BandB near Placerville

Posted on Bed and Breakfast.com 2/20/2010

"I am not a "lace curtains and little flowers on the walls" kind of person, which is what you get at most B & B's. But not Eden Vale Inn."
Copied by Innkeeper
"It is modern, with rich colors and all the amenities you could ask for. Push a button and the fireplace lights. Push another and the Japanese soaking tub fills. Push another button and the lights dim. My husband and I visited for his birthday. We wanted a private, romantic getaway. We got it!"

Events Apple Hill Blossom Festival, Eden Vale Inn Bed and Breakfast Placerville

Apple Hill Blossoms are georgous in Spring:  Not only are the participating ranches busy getting their activities together, but a Trail Run has been organized.   One of the Folsom Trail Runners had the following to say:  This is a great trail. It's diverse and has challenges yet with amazing views. This will give Napa a run for their merlot. This is one of the few places in California where the trail, views and spectacular wine come to party!

The Cross Country Run course has been finalized, thanks to the tireless efforts of Randy Rapetti, of Rapetti Tree Farm.  Additional information on the Blossom Festival and Run can be found at www.applehill.com. Review Eden Vale Inn Bed and Breakfast Placerville Coloma California

Posted 3/5/10
"I wanted to celebrate Monica Rose's birthday in the Gold Country and we prefer to stay at B&B's. Eden Vale Inn suited us perfectly with an extremely comfortable king-size bed and sinfully delicious breakfasts. We stayed 3 nights and they were the best in our B&B experience."
Review of Eden Vale Inn on BedandBreakfast.com
"A recent conversion of a country "mansion" the Eden Vale Inn has many sophisticated convenience features, yet retains the beautiful charms of its roots. All aspects of the property were delightful to us, beginning with our room and the inside common areas, and continuing to the luxuriant exterior surrounding property. The inn-keepers (Mark, Gayle, and Kirsten) treated us with wonderful warmth and hospitality, as did all of their staff-members.   Actually it is difficult to describe how much we enjoyed our stay at Eden Vale without sounding like we're "gushing."  Suffice it to say we want to return there whenever we are in the Gold Country! You can call me Erland."
