Review: "Eden Vale Inn a World Class B&B" located in Placerville, CA

4/27/2010 Review on Trip Advisor
“The Eden Vale Inn is a true gem among Bed and Breakfasts.  The entire Inn from the beautiful gardens and pond, the amazing common rooms, the luxurious bedrooms with European showers and outdoor Japanese soaking tubs for two.”
“ The owner and Inn Keeper Mark was extremely helpful on many levels. I had planned a trip to Placerville for white water rafting on the American River. The original trip I had planned was canceled.   Mark recommended a great company, W.E.T River Rafting.”  This outfitter “ turned out to be a better price and we had both trips I had originally wanted to go on.”  Copied by Innkeeper…Mark “had wonderful hiking recommendations and maps of the areas.” (Note from Mark: They went to the Waterfalls on Johnstown Creek and up Mount Murphy near Coloma and the Marshall Gold Discovery Park)  “On the second night of our stay he had an impromptu pizza dinner with pizza’s fresh from the on the premises outdoor pizza oven and a wonderful local wine maker” (Toogood Winery) “who provided more then ample tastings of their delicious wine “foreplay” http://www.toogoodwinery.com/”

…” The Eden Vale Inn is world class service, luxury and most of all hospitality.  The entire place is a wonder. I have stayed at B&B’s all over the US and world.  It was a wonderful stay and I hope we can return soon. It is a destination in and of itself.

Review of Eden Vale Inn B&B Placerville posted on TripAdvisor
"The property is amazing. Innkeepers friendly and fab. Couldn't believe it used to be a barn, amazing renovation. The rooms are very spalike, modern, much better than average B&B, and are wired for easy on/off of everything you can think of."

"Would wake up and touch the button for fireplace, hit the read-in-bed spotlight, wander the gardens, sit by the pond or in hammock w/a good book. Gem of a property and would highly recommend. Off the beaten track but we liked that too. Just what the doctor ordered to unwind. It was a weekend of pure relaxation, and area has some great vineyards for wine tasting, hiking, state park in Coloma to get your history on the Gold Rush. We could have spent a week and it still wouldn't have been enough, especially of Eden Vale."

"Sensational Get A-Away"
Posted on TripAdvisor 4/13/10
"We had an impromptu weekend at the Eden Vale Inn in Placerville. It was wonderful due to the tranquil environment as well as the gracious hosts Mark and Gayle. They are attentive yet not intrusive. We were playing scrabble in low light and Gayle offered to turn the switch to give us more light. Mark recommended many beautiful sights with special views for us to go to in the area, which led to very memorable days."

"The breakfasts were well rounded and delicious.   This serene peaceful location with nature around us and an attractive comfortable room, was sheer perfection. We especially enjoyed sitting on a double swing watching birds eat from a bird feeder while gazing upon a pond below the hill. We hope to return soon and re-live the feelings that the Eden Vale has given us. This is a very special place with very special people." Posted on TripAdvisor April 13, 2010

Reviews Eden Vale Inn B&B Placerville San Francisco Chronicle, March 28, 2010

Review San Francisco Chronicle, March 28, 2010

"...it's a good chance you weren't raised in a barn. A few places, however, were raised originally as barns. Now, instead of crumbled, picturesque relics begging to be part of a photographic essay, you have lodgings, restaurants, wineries and museums. Here's a few modern spots with rural roots that even Bessie would approve of.”
Five Inns reviewed:  "1. Eden Vale Inn, Placerville, CA   Sleep tight in contemporary rooms fitted into a repurposed 1918 hay barn. All have outdoor seating, and two have a two-person Japanese soaking tub on a private deck…. “

“When not busy relaxing by a slate fireplace in the living room, where the barn's timbered ceilings soar to 27 feet, guests can wander extensive gardens. 1780 Springvale Road, Placerville; (530) 621-0901; http//www.EdenValeInn.com. “

"I am not a "lace curtains and little flowers on the walls" kind of person, which is what you get at most B & B's. But not Eden Vale Inn."
Copied by Innkeeper
"It is modern, with rich colors and all the amenities you could ask for. Push a button and the fireplace lights. Push another and the Japanese soaking tub fills. Push another button and the lights dim. My husband and I visited for his birthday. We wanted a private, romantic getaway. We got it!"

It's diverse and has challenges yet with amazing views. This will give Napa a run for their merlot. This is one of the few places in California where the trail, views and spectacular wine come to party!

The Cross Country Run course has been finalized, thanks to the tireless efforts of Randy Rapetti, of Rapetti Tree Farm.  Additional information on the Blossom Festival and Run can be found at www.applehill.com. Review Eden Vale Inn Bed and Breakfast Placerville Coloma California

Posted 3/5/10
"I wanted to celebrate Monica Rose's birthday in the Gold Country and we prefer to stay at B&B's. Eden Vale Inn suited us perfectly with an extremely comfortable king-size bed and sinfully delicious breakfasts. We stayed 3 nights and they were the best in our B&B experience."
Review of Eden Vale Inn on BedandBreakfast.com
"A recent conversion of a country "mansion" the Eden Vale Inn has many sophisticated convenience features, yet retains the beautiful charms of its roots. All aspects of the property were delightful to us, beginning with our room and the inside common areas, and continuing to the luxuriant exterior surrounding property. The inn-keepers (Mark, Gayle, and Kirsten) treated us with wonderful warmth and hospitality, as did all of their staff-members.   Actually it is difficult to describe how much we enjoyed our stay at Eden Vale without sounding like we're "gushing."  Suffice it to say we want to return there whenever we are in the Gold Country! You can call me Erland."
