"Absolutely exceeded my expectations..." I had heard how wonderful Eden Vale Inn was, but it absolutely exceeded my expectations. The rooms are amazing, the food is fabulous and the hospitality couldn't be better. We enjoyed ourselves, relaxing outdoors in the gardens and by the pond - the most peaceful day I've had in a long time. Thank you!!

Review Eden Vale Inn Bed and Breakfast, Placerville
On BandB.com 6/18/2010
"In the foothills of Placerville lies Eden Vale, a sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of the Bay Area, a tiny paradise with a fresh water pond, bountiful gardens, and friendly, easy-going staff. You can take a cool dip in their fresh water pond, stroll through their vast gardens, or simply relax in your own comfortable room. After spending the day hiking on nearby trails that hug the American River and visiting local wineries, returning to Eden Vale offers a quiet, relaxing place to finish off the day."

"The rooms at Eden Vale all have outdoor entrances, so there is a sense of privacy that you typically don't find in other bed and breakfasts, and many of the rooms also have an outdoor Japanese bath where you can completely relax in and drink a glass of wine. The staff at Eden Vale is extremely hospitable and easy-going, and can tell you all about the local sights and restaurants if you as... Eden Vale offers one of the best morning breakfasts. On a nice day, you can eat out on their veranda, which overlooks the gardens, and where you can hear so many birds outside that you might think it was an aviary. You'll feel more relaxed, and will come away with the feeling that the innkeepers have tried hard to create their own little paradise and separate peace...Treat yourself to a stay at Eden Vale."

Wine 101 class called “Why Wine is More Fun Than People Make it Seem”
Just wanted you to know – in case you have any guests who might be interested on Saturday -- I’m teaching a Wine 101 class called “Why Wine is More Fun Than People Make it Seem” at Lava Cap Winery on Saturday, 1-2:30 p.m. It’s for just regular folks -- though wine buffs will get something from it, too -- and tell them I promise it’ll be in actual English, not winespeak. Plus they get to taste wine. I’ll cover some big things and some small things to help make a tasting trip or just drinking wine even more fun. Plus, did I mention they get to taste wine? It’s $25. They can get details or signup at www.lavacap.com. Or call me if you have any questions, 916-716-9909. Rick Kushman

| Posted on BnBFinder 5/31/10 Five Stars All Categories "We spent two nights in the Stone Pine room at the Eden Vale Inn Bed and Breakfast located near Placerville, and Lotus. I cannot bestow enough praise on the B&B and the staff/owners. As other guests commented, 'there is nothing they haven't thought of.' The rooms were immaculate and I always appreciate a friendly house cat and dog, who were mostly outside pets. I also loved the many birds, lizards, frogs, and alleged fish present. It was just fantastic..." Copied by Innkeeper "... The way the room patios are designed makes you feel like you are alone in nature. I recommend swimming in the pond for a bit of afternoon exercise. There is also a great bike riding road on Deer Valley Road, and a huge mountain bike area nearby." | |

Review: Facebook Eden Vale Inn B&B Placerville CA
5/28/10 Posted on Facebook by Kathy,
"Someone's gotta tell Huell Houser about this place... talk about California's Gold"...Eden Vale Inn in Coloma near Placerville, CA, captured our hearts the moment we drove up the driveway. Upon entering the home you are immediately filled with a warmth and belonging. The history of the 20 year labor of love was so rich and the home's lovely world collections are so artfully displayed...
...I have to mention the food! The chef and innkeeper, Kirsten, is such a culinary wizard. The amazing stratas, quiches, stollens, scones, fresh fruits and famous home made granolas are just a tiny taste of what she can do..."
Posted by Innkeeper
"The gardens are amazing... Gayles's plant knowledge and sense of decor, fills every pathway with a visual delight, pairing old and new finds, as decorations between all the fantastic foliage and fountains. The large horse watering trough at the lower back side of the house, has a flowing spigot, trickling into its reflective pollywog pool...The use of bowling balls placed along the west fencetop is visually pleasing as it leads you up to the pond. A postcard picture in a glorious valley. Just set a spell in those Addirondak chairs and kick off your shoes. Who could ask for more?
You'll amazed at this Zen country chic place. You'll return, just like we will - soon! Thanks for our wonderful stay... Now we know where Eden is..."

Review BnBFinder.com Eden Vale Inn
Review Posted 5/21/2010 All categories five stars
| The setting of Eden Vale is reminscent of the south of France--rolling hills, ponds, fruit trees. The decor of the inn is not the frou-frou "grandma's house" we are used to in B & B's. The house is an old barn redone in a contemporary style (rather Zen in the feeling) with touches of Italy and the US Southwest complete every amenity one can think of--big bathrooms, robes, cd players, down comforters..." Copied by Innkeeper "Each room has outside access with a sitting area as well as a fireplace. The grounds are an adventure of discovery--plants, a pond, brick walkways and patios...We went wine tasting and ate at the same restaurant both nights in nearby Lotus because it was so good. We can't wait to go back" | |

Review: "Eden Vale Inn a World Class B&B" located in Placerville, CA
4/27/2010 Review on Trip Advisor
“The Eden Vale Inn is a true gem among Bed and Breakfasts. The entire Inn from the beautiful gardens and pond, the amazing common rooms, the luxurious bedrooms with European showers and outdoor Japanese soaking tubs for two.”
“ The owner and Inn Keeper Mark was extremely helpful on many levels. I had planned a trip to Placerville for white water rafting on the American River. The original trip I had planned was canceled. Mark recommended a great company, W.E.T River Rafting.” This outfitter “ turned out to be a better price and we had both trips I had originally wanted to go on.” Copied by Innkeeper…Mark “had wonderful hiking recommendations and maps of the areas.” (Note from Mark: They went to the Waterfalls on Johnstown Creek and up Mount Murphy near Coloma and the Marshall Gold Discovery Park) “On the second night of our stay he had an impromptu pizza dinner with pizza’s fresh from the on the premises outdoor pizza oven and a wonderful local wine maker” (Toogood Winery) “who provided more then ample tastings of their delicious wine “foreplay” http://www.toogoodwinery.com/”
…” The Eden Vale Inn is world class service, luxury and most of all hospitality. The entire place is a wonder. I have stayed at B&B’s all over the US and world. It was a wonderful stay and I hope we can return soon. It is a destination in and of itself.”
